Recruitment Types

The Commonwealth of Virginia advertises for job openings in a variety of methods. In the Commonwealth's Recruitment Management System (Virginia's statewide job listing), job opportunities may be advertised to attract different applicant pools:

• General Public (G) - Applications are accepted from all applicants.
• State Employees Only (E) - Applications are accepted from current state employees only.
• Agency Only (A) - Applications are accepted from current agency employees only.
